Seth's own corner of Kampot. You ride out through Andoung Khmer, the commune where he lives, past Khmer homes, farms and plantations, then leave the tuk-tuk for a forest walk to a waterfall most visitors never hear about.
The route
Andoung Khmer village
Seth's home commune: wooden houses, farms and everyday village life, with Seth explaining how families here live and work.
The forest trail
About 30–40 minutes on foot through forest, across small streams and valleys. The ground is uneven and can be wet, so wear shoes you don't mind getting muddy.
Veal Pouch waterfall
A seasonal waterfall that flows best in the rainy season (roughly May to October). Time to swim, relax and take photos; in the morning you may have it to yourselves.
A local snack on the way back
Fresh fruit or a local snack before the ride back to town.
Good for
- Nature lovers
- A second day in Kampot
- Rainy season
